Meet the Crafter – Thilina Perera

Hello! I'm Thilina Perera, the founder and hands behind Ceylon Leather Crafts. What started as a simple hobby to relax and de-stress quickly grew into a deep passion for leather craftsmanship. I was fascinated by the raw beauty of leather — the textures, the grain marks, and the natural aging process that makes each piece unique.

I began crafting small leather goods, mostly wallets, by hand using 100% pure full-grain and top-grain leather. What I loved most was seeing how people connected with something made with care and intention. Over time, what began at my workbench has grown into a brand that now represents quality, craftsmanship, and authenticity.

Today, beyond creating leather goods, I’ve also started sharing what I’ve learned by teaching leather crafting to others across Sri Lanka. My goal is to build a strong, supportive leather crafting community where handmade artistry is valued and passed on.
