This is our day.

One afternoon a year we open the doors on everything this trade is — the hides, the hands, the hours. Every piece in it was cut, stitched and edged here in Sri Lanka. Two hours, once, and then it closes.

Before you order, read this.

Everything here is made by hand, and a sale brings a big wave of orders at once. These are the things worth knowing before you pay, not after.

Website only

The sale runs on ceylonleathercrafts.com and nowhere else. There is no in-store sale, and the store is closed 1–2 days beforehand while we prepare.

Two hours only

4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday 24 October. When six o'clock comes, it closes.

Across the shop. First come, first served — there are no reservations and nothing is held back.

Measure your belt

Belts are cut to the size you give us. Measure an existing belt from the fold to the hole you use — not your trouser size. A belt cannot be made longer once it is cut.

How long it takes.

Nothing here is sitting on a shelf waiting. Each piece is checked by hand before it leaves, and the clock starts when you pay.

  1. Shipping — 10 to 15 days

    Every item is checked by hand before dispatch, and a sale brings a large wave of orders at once.

  2. Engraving — add 5 to 7 days

    On top of the shipping time. Demand for engraving runs heavy during the sale, so it needs a little longer.

  3. Pre-orders — add 10 to 12 days

    On top again, because the piece has to be made from the beginning.

Pre-order it.

If something sells out during the two hours, you can still pre-order it at the sale price. First come, first served — no reservations. A pre-order adds roughly 10–12 days on top of the normal times above.

On rare occasions a pre-order may have to be cancelled, if we cannot source enough of the right leather to make it properly. If that happens you are refunded in full.

Final sale

No returns, no refunds.

Every piece is handmade, so please check the details carefully before you buy — the leather, the size, the colour, the engraving spelling. Read the product page, and ask us anything you are unsure about before you pay, not after.

What still stands.

Final sale means no change-of-mind returns. It does not cancel anything we have promised you about the piece itself:

  • If it is faulty, we fix it. That has never been negotiable.
  • Repairs for as long as you own it, and we do not charge for the labour. You cover only the materials a repair needs, and the shipping.
  • Your first three conditionings are on us. Send it in and cover the shipping; the work is ours.
  • Belt sizing. Adding holes or taking length off is easy — message us and we will sort it.

How to be ready.

  1. Pick your pieces before Saturday

    Browse now and know what you want. Two hours goes quickly, and the popular pieces go first.

  2. Measure your belt now

    From the fold of an existing belt to the hole you actually use.

  3. Be online a few minutes before four

    The shop opens at 4:00 PM exactly.
