Everything measured.
A quieter buckle. Antique silver is gunmetal with a soft matte finish — it does not flash under a light. Brass coated gives you the warm brass tone at an everyday price. Same strap underneath, two different moods.
Choose your buckle
Antique Silver 40 mm. Matte gunmetal, single prong. Pick this if you want the belt to sit quietly rather than announce itself — and it is the natural match for black.
Brass Coated 40 mm. The warmth of brass over a steel core. Same shape, same prong, a different feel — it lifts brown and dark brown.
Both are 40 mm, the everyday width, cut for the wider loops on jeans, chinos and cargos. If you need 35 mm for suit and dress trousers, that width lives on our Pure Brass Buckle belt.
The leather
Ceylon leather, semi-vegetable tanned, tanned and made in Sri Lanka. One solid piece at 3.5–4 mm — the thickest, strongest part of the hide. Nothing glued, nothing split, nothing bonded together to fake the thickness.
It carries its own grain and its own stretch marks. Those are not faults — they are the reason no two of these are the same. It darkens into a patina that ends up yours alone.
Your size — please read this bit
It is not your trouser size. Lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from the fold at the buckle to the hole you actually use. That is the number we need.
A belt cut to a trouser waist comes up about two inches short. It is the most common mistake, and it is the one thing we cannot undo once the strap is cut.
Put that measurement in the note area when you order. Not sure? Order anyway and send us your trouser size — we will message you before anything is cut.
What you get
- One belt, cut to your measurement — five holes, an inch apart
- 40 mm wide, 3.5–4 mm thick, a single piece of hide
- Your choice of antique silver or brass coated buckle
- Made in Rathmalana, Sri Lanka
Looking after it
Wipe it down when it gets wet and let it dry away from direct heat — never on a radiator or in the sun. A little conditioner two or three times a year keeps it supple instead of dry and cracking. We make one for exactly this: Ceylon Leather Conditioner.
Made after you order
Nothing sits on a shelf waiting for a buyer. Your belt is cut, holed and finished once your order lands — 5–7 working days.
Free repairs for life. Stitching, a new buckle, another hole — bring it back and we will sort it out.
Straight answers.
What if I measure it wrong?
+
Message us. Adding holes or taking length off is easy — bring it in or post it and we will sort it.
The one thing we cannot do is make a belt longer, so if you are between two numbers, give us the bigger one. And if you genuinely do not know, tick the box on the product page and we will message you before a knife goes near the leather.
35 mm or 40 mm?
+
35 mm for the office. Dress and suit trousers have narrower loops, and it sits flat under a jacket.
40 mm for everything else. Jeans, chinos and cargos are cut wider, and a narrow belt looks lost in them.
Buying one only? Buy the width you wear five days a week.
When will it reach me?
+
Every belt is cut after you order, so allow 5–7 working days before it leaves us.
Anywhere outside Sri Lanka — the rate depends on the country, so it is quoted per order. Message +94 77 969 6203 on WhatsApp with the piece and where it is going, and we will send the exact figure before you pay a rupee.
Can you repair it later?
+
Yes — for as long as you own it, and we do not charge for the labour. Not for the first year. For as long as it is yours.
A new buckle, restitching, another hole. You cover only the materials a repair actually needs, and the shipping both ways.
How do I look after it?
+
Wipe it down when it gets wet and let it dry away from direct heat — never on a radiator or in the sun.
Condition it two or three times a year. That is the whole routine. More than that softens the fibres and the belt loses its shape. We make one for exactly this: Ceylon Leather Conditioner.
